What does NAB domestic travel insurance cover?

NAB’s domestic travel insurance policy will cover you for medical emergencies, personal effects and travel disruptions.

Please note that exclusions may apply. NAB lists various general exclusions that apply to its travel insurance policies. For example, your claim may be rejected if you have not acted in a responsible way or if you were under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the incident.

Yes, NAB’s international travel insurance policy has overseas emergency medical assistance, as well as cover for:

  • Dental expenses ($500)
  • Hospital cash allowance ($5,000)
  • Accidental death ($25,000)
  • Permanent disability ($25,000)
  • Loss of income ($10,400)
  • Personal liability ($5 million)

Yes, NAB will cover you up to a certain amount for replacing or reimbursing luggage and personal effects that are lost, stolen or damaged while travelling.

Under NAB’s domestic travel insurance policy, you are covered for the loss of luggage and personal effects for up to $7,500.

Under NAB’s international travel insurance policy you’re also covered for up to $7,500 worth of luggage, as well as:

  • The theft of cash ($250)
  • Travel documents, credit cards and traveller’s cheques ($5,000)

Yes, NAB travel insurance will cover up to a certain amount for lost deposits and cancellation fees for pre-paid travel arrangements due to unforeseen circumstances outside the traveller’s control on a policy. Read the Product Disclosure Statement for more information.
