What does Ouch Travel Insurance domestic travel insurance cover?

Ouch’s domestic travel insurance policies, Australian Cancellation and Additional Expenses Travel Plan, and Annual Multi Trip, will cover you for travel within Australia for the non-refundable part of your pre-paid travel arrangements or additional travel, accommodation and meals.

Please note that exclusions may apply such as for claims relating to an existing medical condition, luggage, or a trip greater than 12 months in duration.

What does Ouch’s international travel insurance cover?

Ouch’s Premier Plus Extras Travel Plan, A Travel Plan, B Travel Plan and C Travel Plan international travel insurance policies will cover you for a range of things including agent cancellation fees, medical and dental expenses, medical evacuation and repatriation, as well as travel delay.

Please note that exclusions may apply depending on the type of policy you choose and the level of cover you take out. For instance, your claim will not be covered if you travel even though you are knowingly unfit to travel, you do so against medical advice or when you travel for the purpose of obtaining medical advice or treatment.

Yes, Ouch international travel insurance policies will cover up to a certain amount if you’re hospitalised overseas for more than 48 continuous hours because of an injury or illness that occurred while you were outside of Australia.

Yes, Ouch will cover you up to a certain amount for replacing or reimbursing luggage and personal effects that are lost, stolen or damaged while travelling.

Under Ouch’s international travel insurance policy, you will be covered if your luggage or personal effects are left in a locked motor vehicle during daylight hours and forced entry is required. You will not be covered for lost, stolen or damaged compute screens, computer software or applications.

Under Ouch’s Australian Cancellation and Additional Expenses Travel Plan domestic travel insurance policy there is no cover for luggage and personal effects.
