What types of travel insurance does Holiday Rescue offer?
Holiday Rescue offers both domestic and international travel insurance. Holiday Rescue offers three different types of policies:
- Comprehensive: Covers overseas holidays and may be appropriate where you want coverage for you, your holiday (cancellations or disruptions) and your personal items.
- Essential: Covers overseas holidays and may be appropriate where you want more basic coverage for you and your holiday. It doesn’t provide cover for personal items or luggage delays.
- Domestic: Covers holidays within Australia.
All Holiday Rescue travel insurance policies include skiing and snowboarding cover. Holiday Rescue advertises that it has options specifically suitable to budget travelers, senior travelers, families and those going on a cruise.
What does Holiday Rescue domestic travel insurance cover?
Holiday Rescue’s Domestic Travel Insurance policy will cover you for:
- Holiday cancellation and changes
- Delay to a special event
- Rental vehicle insurance excess
- Passports, travel documents and bank cards
- Funeral costs
- Personal liability
It does not include any emergency medical or dental cover.

What does Holiday Rescue international travel insurance cover?
Holiday Rescue’s Essential Travel Insurance covers you for:
- Emergency medical
- Emergency dental
- Funeral costs
- Holiday cancellation and changes
- Delay to a special event
- Rental vehicle insurance excess
- Personal liability
- Passports, travel documents and bank cards
In addition to providing the same features and level of coverage as Essential Travel Insurance, Holiday Rescue’s Comprehensive Travel Insurance also includes:
- Luggage delay
- Personal items and cash
