What does Travel Insurance Saver’s domestic and international travel insurance cover?

Travel Insurance Saver’s policies include:

  • Medical Only: Travel Insurance Saver provides medical and emergency medical cover including emergency dental, hospitalisation and evacuation.
  • Essentials: The provider’s Essentials cover gives you the same benefits as Medical Only cover with some additions. With Essentials insurance, you’ll be covered for lost luggage, personal liability and some trip cancellation cover.
  • Comprehensive: The Comprehensive cover has the same benefits as the Essentials option but with higher claim thresholds. This policy also provides cover for rental car excess, travel delays and unforeseen circumstances.

Please note that exclusions may apply. For example, your cover may not pay claims for certain high-risk activities or destinations with travel advisories (i.e. Smartraveller designates the location as ‘Do not travel’ or ‘Reconsider your need to travel’ .

For more details about what is and isn’t covered, check out the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) on Travel Insurance Saver’s website.
