  • Cover for damage to other people’s property up to $20 million

AAMI allows comprehensive car insurance customers to choose how much excess they want to pay when requesting a quote, or renewing their policy. Remember, generally the higher the excess, the lower the car insurance premiums will be and vice versa.

AAMI allows policy holders to choose between covering their vehicle for its market value (subject to approval by AAMI) or an agreed value chosen by the policyholder from a range provided by AAMI. AAMI car insurance policy holders can make a claim 24 hours a day, seven days a week by calling them on 13 22 44. Additionally comprehensive car insurance policyholders can claim online.

AAMI says those making a claim should have supporting documents at the ready, including any photos relating to the incident.

There are different ways to renew your AAMI car insurance. Customers who have downloaded and signed into the AAMI App can renew policies via the app. If you are an AAMI customer and have a Payment Reference Number, you can renew your insurance using AAMI’s Quick Pay service through its website, without needing to log in. Otherwise, you can log in to your online account via AAMI’s website to renew your cover or update your policy details.
