WFI says it is one of Australia’s leading rural and business insurers. WFI also offers personal insurance and provides car insurance, as well as a range of other products such as home, landlord, boat and caravan cover.

What types of car insurance does WFI offer?  

WFI offers three different types of car insurance: Comprehensive, Fire Theft and Legal Liability, and Legal Liability. WFI allows you to insure your car for either private use, business use or farm use.

What additional features does WFI offer on its car insurance products?

If you take out Comprehensive car insurance for private use, additional benefits include:

  • AAA rating bonus 
  • Automatic cover for replacement vehicle
  • Hire costs
  • Insurance of a hired or borrowed vehicle
  • Personal property
  • Trailer cover 

If your car is used for private, business or farm purposes, additional benefits include:

  • Emergency repairs and towing
  • No fault bonus
  • Recovery costs
  • Replacement keys and locks
  • Windscreen bonus

If you use your car privately, you also have the option of adding named drivers only and no claim bonus protection.

Yes, if you take out car insurance for private use WFI allows you to choose between the retail and agreed value of your vehicle. The value that applies to your vehicle will be shown on your Certificate of Insurance. Here’s an article which explains the difference between market value and agreed value.

If you choose to go with WFI, you can get a car insurance quote on its website or you can call or visit your local area manager.

WFI allows you to nominate a higher or lower excess. This may affect the cost of your car insurance premium; a higher excess will typically result in a lower premium, while a lower excess will typically result in a higher premium.

You can lodge a claim with WFI online using the WFI Motor Claims Notification form. After the WFI claims team is notified, WFI says it will contact you to process the claim.
