People’s Choice Visa Credit Card

Features

  • Annual fee: $59 per year starting within a month of the account opening, however the fee is waived if you have an Activate account and are under 25 years of age, an active Home Loan Package or Line of Credit, or use People’s Choice’s financial planning services.
  • Interest-free days: Up to 62 days
  • Minimum credit limit: $1,000
  • Contactless: Contactless payments enabled via Visa payWave for purchases under $100
  • Digital wallets: Card is enabled for Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Google Pay. Online payments are enabled by Visa’s digital wallet service Visa Checkout.
  • Rewards: Access to exclusive Visa entertainment offers, including pre-sale tickets for concerts and live-events.

People's Choice Credit Card FAQs

To apply for a People’s Choice credit card, you must be able to satisfy the following criteria:

  • Australian permanent resident
  • Over 18 years of age
  • Have proof of employment
  • Have a good credit rating

If you satisfy all of the above criteria, then you can apply for a People’s Choice credit card. You can apply online, by visiting a local branch, or over the phone.

If your application is approved, you’ll need to activate your People’s Choice credit card before you can use it. You can activate your card using online banking, or by calling People’s Choice over the phone, or visiting in-branch.

You can manage your People’s Choice credit card through online banking or by using the mobile banking app. The People’s Choice Mobile Banking App is available for both iOS and Android. By using the People’s Choice online banking service, you can activate your card, view your recent transaction history and view your balance among other things.

When interest is charged

On a People’s Choice credit card, interest is calculated daily whenever you carry a balance on your card, and this interest is charged monthly on the last calendar day.

When interest is not charged

At the time of writing, up to 62 interest-free days apply with a People’s Choice credit card. To qualify for these interest-free days, you must pay off the current and previous month’s statement by 5pm on the last calendar day of the month.

Your credit limit for a People’s Choice credit card will be determined based on the information you provide in your application, above the minimum credit limit.

You can ask People’s Choice to increase your credit limit at any time, and they may approve or reject this request based on their lending criteria. 

Requests to reduce your credit limit can be made at any time, as long as the requested limit is equal to or higher than the minimum.

These requests can be made via the People’s Choice website, over the phone or in a branch.

You can close your People’s Choice credit card account at any time by sending a request through the People’s Choice website, internet banking, over the phone or at a branch. Your card balance will need to be repaid in full even after the card is closed, and you will continue to receive monthly statements until your card balance is fully repaid.
