Eligibility to apply for G&C Mutual Bank credit cards

When your card arrives, you’ll need to activate the card before you can use it to make purchases. You can activate your card via online banking, by calling G&C Mutual Bank on 1300 364 400 (open Mon-Fri), or by visiting a branch.

You can manage your G&C Mutual Bank credit card through online banking. You can use online banking to access statements of your savings, view transaction information, and view all of your cards and accounts.

When interest is charged

Interest is charged on purchases when you carry a balance on your G&C Mutual Bank credit card. Interest is charged on cash advances from the date of withdrawal. How much interest is charged will depend on the interest rates applying to each card.

When interest is not charged

Up to 55 or 50 interest-free days apply to purchases made depending on your choice of G&C Mutual Bank credit cards, as long as you have paid the balance in full for the previous month’s statement and for the current month’s statement. Your credit limit for a G&C Mutual Bank credit card will be determined based on the information you provide in your application, keeping in mind the minimum and maximum credit limits available for each card (see above).

If you wish to change the credit limit on your card, you can apply for this at any time using your own discretion. You can submit the request by emailing gcmb@gcmutualbank.com.au or by calling 1300 364 400. G&C Mutual Bank may approve or reject such requests based on their lending criteria. You can close your G&C Mutual Bank credit card account at any time by sending a written request to your nearest branch. Your card balance will need to be repaid in full even after the card is closed, and you will continue to receive monthly statements until your card balance is fully repaid.
