IMB Bank

IMB Bank was founded in 1880 as the Illawarra Mutual Building Society, and became a mutual bank in 2015. They have a growing branch network throughout Illawarra, Sydney, the NSW South Coast, ACT, and Melbourne, as well as a locally-based call centre, and a team of mobile lending specialists who can come to you.

Today IMB has around 180,000 members and assets of $5 billion. IMB members get a 15% discount of membership to the University of Wollongong’s Early Start Discovery Space for kids.

Through the IMB Community Foundation, established in 1999, IMB Bank has contributed $8.1 million to more than 550 projects.

IMB Community Sponsorships are another way that IMB Bank gives back to their local communities. From local sports events to music festivals, school fetes, and moonlight movies, you can find out what’s happening in your local area on the website. Most branches have an IMB Community Marquee donated by IMB Bank, so if you would like to use a free marquee for your upcoming event, simply call your local branch.
