Bow Wow Meow expressly lists some illnesses and injuries as exclusions that are not covered by its pet insurance. These include, but are not necessarily limited to, pregnancy, elective procedures, foods/diet, grooming, behavioural problems and pre-existing conditions.

It’s important to read the Product Disclosure Statement to find any exclusions listed in a policy and to also consider what illnesses your pet may need coverage for. Bow Wow Meow will insure a pet under its Comprehensive cover between eight weeks of age and before its ninth birthday. Bow Wow Meow offers Lifetime Cover, so once your pet is insured, it’s insured for life. Bow Wow Meow’s Accident plan has no upper age limit for joining. It’s important to check with your chosen provider to see if they have an age limit on their policies – older pets tend to be more expensive to cover as they are much more likely to suffer from illness or injury than younger pets.

Bow Wow Meow does not require you to provide medical records in order for them to insure your pet.

Yes, Bow Wow Meow lets you use any vet who is licenced to practice in Australia.

Yes, Bow Wow Meow’s pet insurance policies come with an annual limit of either $8,000 or $12,000 depending on which plan your pet is insured under. The annual benefit limit and claim terms and conditions for Bow Wow Meow’s Basics and Comprehensive pet insurance policies are outlined in its Product Disclosure Statements. Bow Wow Meow allows you to receive a reimbursement of up to 80% of your vet costs. The reimbursement you receive will depend on the age of your pet and your choice of insurance cover.
