Coles has hundreds of thousands of policy holders in car, life and home insurance, but is yet to open up a pet insurance product line. This is despite claims in 2013 and again in 2015 that they had plans to roll it out.
Woolworths, Coles’ main rival, has been selling pet insurance since 2012. But as things stand, loyal Coles customers may have to wait a little longer before pet insurance becomes available.

Coles’ insurance products are underwritten by WFI Insurance, which is also owned by IAG. WFI has been operating for nearly 100 years and handles tens of thousands of claims in a calendar year.
