ASOS, Nike, Lorna Jane, Sportsgirl and Cotton On are some of the latest brands to have partnered up with Acorns Australia.
Popular micro-investing app Acorns recently announced it has secured eight new partners for the Australian version of its Found Money rewards program in 2017.
Through this program, Acorns users who purchase products from partnering retailers can receive bonus contributions into their Acorns account.
The new partner brands are offering to match up to 5 times the Acorns user’s normal “round-up” and invest that into their Acorns account.
But to receive these bonus “round-ups”, users must shop through the Acorns app or web app.
Millennials, who are the key target of this program, are often criticised for being thriftless and not investing in their future enough.
Perhaps they’ll feel less guilty of this by shopping through Acorns – knowing that at the same time, money is being invested on their behalf.
