We ask customers to rate their satisfaction with their current mobile broadband provider across a range of criteria that matters most to customers. This includes speed and reliability, customer service, value for money, billing transparency and ease of setup.

The best mobile broadband providers
Vodafone

Vodafone won Canstar’s Most Satisfied Customers award for Mobile Broadband for the first time since 2017, ending the long reign of smaller providers that have dominated this award in the past years. Customers rated Vodafone highest for its value for money and ease of setup, while it still performed strongly in the other categories.
Vodafone offers a range of mobile broadband products, including modems, data-only SIM plans and prepaid mobile broadband. If you choose a mobile broadband device, you can pay it off over 12, 24 or 36 months and bundle it with a data-only plan.
Optus

Optus offers both data-only SIM plans (including prepaid plans) and the option to bundle a portable modem on a plan. There is only one standard monthly data-only plan to choose from, however the data-only prepaid plans include a range of data inclusions and expiry periods.
Telstra

Telstra offers a wide range of mobile broadband products to suit a variety of users. You can choose from a data-only SIM, or plans bundled with USB dongles and other mobile broadband devices, plus prepaid mobile broadband plans.
