After NBN Co announced its wholesale prices would be changing from July 1, many NBN providers have been quick to move on passing those increased costs on to their customers — some even jumping the gun and changing prices already.

If your current provider has or is planning to change your plan’s price, it’s likely you’ll receive an email or other notification about the plan change. However, it can be tricky to keep on top of emails from service providers if they get lost in your inbox.

So we’ve put together this NBN price change tracker to show what changes providers from Canstar’s database are making. Keep in mind that not all changes may be reflected, not all providers will be listed and we’ll be updating this page as frequently as possible as more providers release their changes.

NBN price change quick questions

Why are NBN prices changing?

On July 1, NBN Co will introduce its new wholesale pricing, which outlines the costs that NBN providers pay to NBN Co. NBN reviews pricing every year and the decision to raise prices will often come down to investment in improving and maintaining the network, as well as Consumer Price Index (CPI) changes.

Why is my plan price increasing?

NBN Co’s pricing review in 2026 determined that it will charge more for a range of speed tiers, but it’s up to the providers as to whether they will pass on these price changes — and by how much. Several providers have already changed their pricing, while others have flagged their price changes to be rolled out from or after July 1.

Are all NBN prices changing?

This really depends on what your current provider does. Many of the price changes that providers have made, do not directly relate to the changes that NBN Co has made to wholesale prices. Some providers have chosen to pass on bigger price hikes, while some have chosen to increase prices only on select speed tiers rather than all plans.

What can I do about my increasing NBN prices?

If you’re unhappy with the price changes your current provider is making — it’s time to get switching! Comparing a wider range of NBN plans on your preferred speed tier will help you determine what sort of value for money is out there and with the right speed for your household’s needs. Keep in mind that not all providers have changed their prices yet, so the prices you see in your comparisons might not be the same price in next month. However it could be a great time to lock in a discounted plan price, as many providers offer discounts on the first six months or so that you’re connected, so you could cushion the blow a little against those price hikes if you switch to a discounted plan.

Which providers have changed or are planning on changing their NBN prices?

The bad news is that, for those providers who have rolled out or announced their plan changes, NBN prices are going up. Unfortunately those on the cheapest NBN plans are hardest hit, with some providers only increasing prices on the slower speed tiers and keeping prices stable on the faster speeds. We’ve outlined which providers are changing their plans below, and will update this page as more price changes are announced.

To help you understand the impacts of these price changes, Canstar has crunched the numbers to show the price difference between the current or old standard price, and the new pricing over 12 months (excluding discounts). In most cases, where prices have gone up, this will show how much more a current customer will be paying for the same plan over 12 months (excluding discounts).
