Streaming services are one of the few subscription types that make it easy to take advantage of short-term deals. If your budget is stacked with costly subscriptions, check out which platforms you can save on now.

Foxtel: up to 40% off on 12-month bundles

Foxtel subscriptions are the highest priced on the market, so it pays to take advantage of discounts when you can. The platform is currently offering up to 40% off all its 12-month contract bundles until May 18.

  • How much can you save? You can save up to $56 a month, which adds up to $672 a year. Then pay $103-$150 a month depending on your plan.
  • What’s included? Access to over 50 channels on Foxtel Plus, live and 4K channels, plus HBO Max Basic with Ads subscription

What’s the catch? The offer is only available to new customers, so if you’ve had Foxtel before you’re out of luck. If you change your mind and want to cancel your bundle, you may have to pay an early termination fee.

Binge: $15 off your first month

Binge is no stranger to sales, even with its lowest plan starting from just $10. The streaming service is offering its standard ad-free plan to new and returning customers for $4 for the first month. Just make sure you sign up before May 9 if you’re interested.

  • How much can you save? Pay $4 for your first month–that’s $15 off the regular price. After your first month, you’ll pay $19 a month.
  • What’s included? Watch on two screens at once, access to over 40 live channels and up to 4K viewing.

Hot tip: If you’re only keen on a couple titles on Binge, you can sign up and cancel once the month is up. Set a reminder to cancel before it renews so you don’t end up paying $19 for a second month unnecessarily.

Disney+: new low-cost subscription tier

Disney+ has launched its standard ad-supported plan at $9.99 a month, beating its previous cheapest plan by $8.

  • How much can you save? The new ad-supported plan $8 cheaper than the standard plan ($17.99 p/m) and $15 less than the premium plan ($24.99 p/m).
  • What’s included? Access to live sport from ESPN and the ability to watch on two screens at once.

What’s the catch? The new plan doesn’t offer a cheaper yearly subscription option like the standard and premium tiers, so you’re stuck with monthly payments. You’re also unable to download content, but if that isn’t important to you, the plan could still be worth your while.
