Most Trusted Award winner 2026 - Aussie Broadband

Aussie Broadband has won its first Most Trusted award in the mobile plan providers category, having been a repeat winner for Canstar’s Most Trusted Internet Providers award. In 2026, it was also crowned winner of Canstar’s Most Satisfied Customers awards for both SIM-only mobile providers and NBN providers, proving that customers are finding Aussie Broadband a highly valued mobile and internet provider.

The telco's focus is on offering a straightforward selection of postpaid SIM-only mobile plans across a range of prices and data allowances with 5G network access (using the Optus mobile network), no excess data charges and international call inclusions on select plans. The option to bundle mobile services with an internet plan adds extra value to customers, who may already be a happy Aussie Broadband internet user looking for a no-fuss mobile plan.

How do we determine the Most Trusted Mobile Plan Providers Award winner?

  • 6,000 consumers surveyed
  • 19 brands assessed
  • One award winner

These awards are based on survey data collected from 6,000 consumers, and for a respondent to be included, they needed to have an active mobile phone plan in their own name and that they pay the bills for. For a provider to qualify, it must receive a minimum of 30 responses in the survey.

Respondents rate the level of trust they have in their provider (whether that’s a prepaid or postpaid provider) on a zero to ten scale, where zero is ‘do not trust at all’ and ten is ‘trust completely’. Respondents are also asked to rate their level of trust in mobile providers in general.

Our experienced research team then calculates the average trust score for each retailer and measures that against the overall average trust score for the market.
