Up to 45 or 55 interest-free days apply to Westpac Altitude credit card purchases (depending on your choice of card). Interest-free days only apply if you have paid the balance in full for the previous month’s statement and for the current month’s statement (the statement on which the purchases are listed).

Your credit limit for a Westpac Altitude credit card will be determined based on the information you provide in your application, keeping in mind the minimum and maximum credit limits available for each card. Find out more about how credit limits are determined here.

Altitude Rewards points can be redeemed online. Points can be redeemed for Virgin Velocity points, Pay with Points, cashback, merchandise, travel, tickets and experiences, financial services fees, and gift cards.

About westpac

Westpac was established in 1817 as the Bank of New South Wales, Australia’s first bank and first officially incorporated company. Today Westpac serves around 13 million customers as one of the big four Australian banks, and they own a number of other banking brands including St. George, Bank of Melbourne, BankSA, and RAMS.

If you’re keen to find out how to use your credit card better, or how to use your finances more wisely in general, Westpac’s Davidson Institute provides free financial training and resources. They run live webinars that are recorded and can be watched on the website, and well as more downloadable resources.

As one of the Big Four, Westpac takes their corporate and social responsibility seriously. Westpac directly supports several community focus areas: disaster relief for businesses and communities, addressing financial and educational disadvantage in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and microfinance for marginalised small business people. In 2016 so far, Westpac has distributed 100 community grants through the Westpac Foundation to not-for-profit organisations making a positive impact for everyday Aussies.
