Every category carries a different weighting based on what customers deem the most impactful on their overall satisfaction.

Canstar’s Most Satisfied Customers Awards shine a light on LPG suppliers with the happiest customers in Australia. We ask customers to rate their satisfaction with their current LPG supplier, by overall satisfaction as well as important criteria like customer service, how clear their bill and prices are, delivery service, ease of sign-up and value for money.

The best LPG supplier in Australia

The brands rated are listed below in order of best overall satisfaction.

1. Supagas

Supagas

In 2026, Supagas is Australia’s best-rated LPG supplier for the sixth year running.

Supagas is a leading supplier of LPG in Australia, with a history dating back to 1968. The company supplies residential LPG in a wide range of bottle sizes, including smaller cylinders as well as larger bulk orders. These can be rented every month or purchased outright.

Customers can also line up for home delivery or visit their nearest Supagas location to swap their empty cylinders for a new or reconditioned full cylinder. In addition to LPG, Supagas also sells and rents out outdoor heaters.


2. Origin

Origin is one of Australia’s largest suppliers of residential and commercial LPG, in addition to being one of the country’s most prominent electricity, natural gas and solar retailers. Origin LPG customers can order regular or one-off gas deliveries or bottle refills, with the company offering easy live tracking and account management through the Origin App. In our shortlist, Origin Energy sits at second place for overall satisfaction, but performs exceptionally well for the customer service and delivery service categories.


3. Elgas

Elgas

Elgas is Australia’s largest LPG gas supplier, offering customers across the country local gas bottle deliveries as well as LPG bottle plans. Elgas has over 1,000 regional LPG supply locations and claims to offer competitive rates and no lock-in contracts. Elgas placed third for overall satisfaction in 2026.
