The best bundled energy and telecommunications providers in 2025
The brands rated are listed below in order of best overall satisfaction.
1. Origin Energy

One of the three biggest names in Aussie energy, Origin Energy also offers residential NBN and fibre internet. These are available bundled with energy or as a standalone plan. While Origin Energy’s prices aren’t the cheapest on the market, customers can earn a $10 monthly broadband discount by bundling their internet with Origin Energy’s energy plans, which include electricity, natural gas or LPG.
In terms of energy products, Origin Energy services New South Wales, Victoria, South East Queensland, South Australia and the Australian Capital Territory, with a range of electricity and gas market offers available in each state. Plans include features such as Everyday Rewards points, competitive solar feed-in tariffs and solar-specific offers.
2. AGL

As Australia’s second-largest energy provider, AGL offers customers in NSW, VIC, QLD and SA a range of electricity and natural gas products, with gas also available in WA. AGL’s electricity plans include variable rate offers and a Netflix plan with included streaming. The company also sells a specialised seniors plan.
Aside from energy, AGL also offers home internet and mobile, both of which come with discounts when bundling with AGL Energy. NBN customers can save $15 per month on their broadband fees, while mobile plans come with a $10 monthly discount. AGL’s mobile plans are month-to-month and SIM only, with coverage on the Optus 4G and 5G network. AGL came in second place in 2025 in our Most Satisfied Customers Awards – Bundled Energy and Telecommunications.
3. Dodo

Dodo made its start as a popular low-cost broadband provider, eventually moving into mobile and later, electricity and gas. Dodo’s electricity options are now available in NSW, VIC, QLD and SA.
Dodo also offers a suite of SIM-only postpaid mobile plans on the Optus 4G and 5G network, however these don’t come with a discount for bundling with energy or internet. Dodo finishes the top three Bundled Energy and Telecommunications providers in our 2025 Most Satisfied Customers Awards.

There are currently six providers who offer bundled energy and telco plan options.
While most bundled utilities providers do offer some sort of incentive for bundling or combining services on one account — such as a monthly discount — whether this will be cheaper in the long run will depend on both your energy and broadband needs.
You’ll want to consider the annual cost of your energy plan compared to other offers on the market, and look at usage and supply charges to see how that half of your bundle stacks up. If you can save more than the monthly discount by going elsewhere, it may not be worth it to pair your energy plan with your internet just to score a broadband discount; likewise, you may also find cheaper internet plans from standalone providers.
Overall, checking the fine print of your bundled plan will help you determine if it’s a good deal when compared to mixing-and-matching energy and telco providers.
There’s several factors that may influence your decision-making when choosing to bundle energy, internet or mobile. We asked Australian survey respondents to cite the main reasons why they opted to bundle energy and telecommunications. Here’s what we found:
- 47% of respondents feel it’s more convenient to have services bundled.
- 38% think it’s cheaper to bundle their services.
- 9% are simply loyal to a brand for both energy and telco plans.
Some additional insights from our survey show that 39% of Aussies who bundle think they get a good deal on their electricity, gas, mobile and internet through bundling with a single provider down from 55% in 2024. A little over one-third (36%) knew what their energy supply and usage charges are, and 43% liked to manage their utilities accounts online.
Only 20% say they find it difficult to predict what their next utilities bill will be, and 17% would like to switch providers in the near future.
