EnergyAustralia benefits and rewards

EnergyAustralia PowerResponse

EnergyAustralia doesn’t offer a rewards program the same way other providers do. Instead, its PowerResponse program offers electricity credits to customers who reduce electricity usage during nominated peak times. Customers can opt into a PowerResponse ‘event’ and try to reduce their household usage during this time. EnergyAustralia customers taking part in a PowerResponse event can receive:

  • $1 for every time they opt into a PowerResponse event and reduce electricity usage.
  • $2 for every kilowatt hour (kWh) of energy that is saved during a PowerResponse event compared to your estimated baseline usage.

The credits earned will be active in your account within 20 days of the PowerResponse event.

Utilities bundling

Though EnergyAustralia doesn’t offer internet and mobile plans, it does offer dual fuel plans with guaranteed discounts for customers who bundle electricity and gas.

Compare your options and decide if dual fuel discounts will offer better value than signing up to separate electricity and gas plans from different providers.
