Personal finances are currently front of mind for many Australians in light of the coronavirus crisis, and some rewards credit card customers may be using this period to look at their options and make sure they are with the right provider for them.
As part of Canstar’s 2020 Most Satisfied Customers – Rewards Credit Card Provider Award, our researchers surveyed over 2,400 customers with rewards credit cards around Australia between February and April this year.
Customers were asked to rate their overall satisfaction with their credit card provider, as well as their satisfaction in specific areas, such as value for money and customer service. We also crunched the numbers to work out what customers value most from their rewards credit card provider.
American Express wins Award for Most Satisfied Customers – Rewards Credit Card Provider
American Express won Canstar’s 2020 Most Satisfied Customers – Rewards Credit Card Provider Award. This is the second year in a row that American Express has won this Award.
American Express offers a range of rewards credit cards through which customers may earn American Express Membership Rewards or Qantas Points, depending on the card.
Once again, value for money (25%) and customer service (23%) were the biggest indicators of customer satisfaction overall, based on those surveyed. This was followed by the credit card provider’s rewards program (16%).
American Express received high overall satisfaction scores from its rewards customers, who were also particularly satisfied with its security, customer service and rewards program.
