How do I join Qantas?

If you decide to take out Qantas health insurance, you can get a quote on Qantas’ website or over the phone. You’ll need to select your desired policy inclusions and extras. If you request hospital cover as part of your policy, you may be asked what tier of cover you would like.

To help you find a health insurance policy that satisfies your budget and desired level of coverage, you may want to first compare your options with Canstar.

Can I manage my Qantas policy online?

You can manage your Qantas health insurance policy by logging into the ‘Manage your policy’ self-service portal on the Qantas website. From here, you will be able to see details of your coverage, make an extras claim, update your information and manage your payments.

You can also manage your health insurance via the Qantas Wellbeing mobile app, which is available for both iOS and Android, though using its website you may be able to access a wider range of services.

Can I earn Qantas rewards points through its health insurance?

Qantas says that money spent on your premium can also earn rewards points, which are redeemable on a variety of expenses including flights, hotel and travel and shopping. At the time of writing, every dollar spent on a Qantas health insurance premium earns one Qantas Point. You must be a member to benefit, and fees may apply.

You can also earn Qantas Points via the Qantas Wellbeing app by reaching certain exercise targets. The Qantas Wellbeing app tracks everyday activities such as walking and cycling, and provides access to discounts and special offers from partnering companies.

How do I lodge a claim with Qantas?

Once you’ve received medical treatment or made a purchase covered by your policy, the next step is to make a claim.

You can make a claim by logging into the Qantas Member portal or via the Qantas Wellbeing App and following the prompts. Contact Qantas Insurance or visit the Qantas Insurance website if you need assistance.
