Does Newcastle Permanent charge fees on its transaction accounts?

Transaction accounts can come with several fees, such as monthly account-keeping fees, transaction fees, withdrawal fees and more. Newcastle Permanent charges the following fees on its transaction accounts at the time of writing (18/07/18):

  • $2.50 Branch withdrawal fee and a $0.60 EFTPOS fee on the Basic Access Account
  • A $4 monthly fee on the Everyday Account, waived if you deposit $1,800 or more each month

Newcastle Permanent offers both online and mobile banking for its transaction account products, with its app available in both the Apple and Google store. Notable features of Newcastle Permanent’s mobile banking include:

  • Make almost instant Osko payments to any other participating Australian financial institution.
  • Process a redraw on your home loan (for eligible home loans and subject to approval).
  • Create and manage profiles so more than one person can securely use the same device.
  • Manage devices that you have registered to use the app.
