Are health insurance deals worth it?
They can be in certain circumstances, but it may not be worth choosing a health insurance provider based solely on an introductory deal or short-term discount. After all, while a gift card or a month of free cover may be handy, it could be a small token in terms of the overall cost and coverage provided by the policy.
Therefore, it’s important to consider the cost and quality of coverage alongside any sign-up deal or offer. You may find a policy that suits your needs that also happens to have a sign-up deal attached. It’s also worth reading any documentation, such as the Private Health Information Statement (PHIS) and Target Market Determination (TMD), for any policy you’re considering.
Other factors to consider when comparing health insurance
