As you shop around for home insurance policies, it can’t hurt to have a look at what other Australians have been requesting quotes from when comparing policies side-by-side on Canstar’s home insurance comparison tables.

Below are the home insurance products on Canstar’s database with quote links that received the most clicks over February.

Budget Direct

Budget Direct is popular throughout Australia, receiving high numbers of quote link clicks over February.

Its home and contents policy was a National Award Winner in Canstar’s 2017 Star Ratings, and took out State Awards in New South Wales & ACT and Queensland, with 5-Star Ratings for both the high sum insured (above $550,000) and low sum insured (below $550,000) categories in those states. It was also rated 5-stars for both sum insured categories in Victoria.

With very competitive premiums, Budget Direct was 2017’s price leaders in New South Wales & ACT, Queensland and Victoria.

CommInsure

Over February, home insurance policies from CommInsure were the most popular on Canstar’s database.

CommInsure’s home and contents policies had some of the highest numbers of ‘get quote’ clicks in every state and region around the country.

In the 2017 Home Insurance Star Ratings, CommInsure’s home and contents policy was also one of three National Award winners (for the tenth year in a row) and the State Award winner in North Queensland and Tasmania. It was awarded a 5-Star rating in every state and region for both the high sum insured (above $550,000) and low sum insured (below $550,000) categories.

The policy features particularly generous item limits for valuable contents and can cover up to $1,000 for ‘non-specific’ items. At the time of writing, CommInsure is offering an online discount of up to 15%.

Woolworths’ home and contents policy was popular over February.

Allianz Australia’s new home insurance product received some of the most ‘get quote’ clicks over February.

At the time of writing, Allianz Australia is offering an online discount of up to 19% when you combine your Building and Contents Insurance.
